The Other Festival

While everyone in the capitol city was cock-rockin' to Brett Michaels (dear god why?), I went north. You see, every labor day weekend there is another festival in this state. The Italian Heritage Festival is usually the more tasty of the two. Can't say there was much variety this year though. Sausage sandwiches and cheese steaks as far as the eye could see. As I made my way through the intoxicated crowd to the tune of 80's classics covered entirely in Italian, I searched for something, anything different. My savior came in the form of these folks who had some fairly decent stuffed shells in red sauce. I wanna know how the hell you can have an Italian Heritage Festival with only one outfit serving pasta?? What a crock. Couldn't pass up a bottle of meade from Kenco Farms, a winery out of Sutton. Damn good stuff. Search it out. Drink. Be merry.
